An extended advert dressed up as editorial, there. Not that this is rare - the media is filled with similar articles giving the latest "interesting" survey on something or other.

Is there any possible chance that newspapers and websites could actually decide to have some integrity and not collude with it?

About this entry

Fucking hell, I didn't know this story was so widespread.

The *BBC* are doing this? That's just shocking.

PC Plus took some action against Zen Internet a few years ago - they had the inside front cover and page 1 to advertise on. Unfortunately they were going to be late with the copy, so Future Publishing let them send it direct to the printers. They sent an exact replica of a PC Plus review page, with "Advertising Feature" at the top.

I can't remember what action was taken, but Future were not happy...

I like the way the headline and first paragraph of the Chortle story mention a poll about sitcoms, and the poll itself features HIGNFY, Morecambe and Wise and The Two Ronnies.
